А потом, исключительно благодаря ЛСД, я понял, что такое Бог. Насколько мне известно, в христианской религии никто не располагает достаточно глубокими познаниями о Боге, чтобы суметь перевести их на язык, понятный людям. Священники твердят чепуху, потому что и сами не совсем понимают то, о чем говорят. Они ослепляют вас невежеством, как делает правительство, потому что, если бы власть церкви опиралась на весомые доводы, никому и в голову не пришло бы сомневаться в ее словах. А это выглядит так: "Вы ничего не знаете о Христе и Боге потому, что о них можем знать только мы". Из трудов Вивекананда и Йогананда я почерпнул достаточно, чтобы понять, как yвидеть Бога: с помощью йоговской системы прохождения через состояния сознания (бодрствование, сон, сновидения) до самого утонченного уровня чистого сознания. Именно на этом уровне человек сталкивается с чистым осознанием, пробуждением, источником всего сущего. Мы говорили об этом в песне "Tomorrow Never Knows". Эта пустота трансцендентна, она находится за гранью бодрствования, сна, сновидений. Все в мире - результат этого чистого состояния бытия, трансцендентальности или Бога. Бог - причина. А результат - все три мира: причинный, астральный и физический. Я безоговорочно верю во власть молитвы, но это чем-то похоже на любовь: люди говорят "я люблю тебя", а вопрос заключается в том, насколько глубока их любовь. Махариши часто повторял, что, если у тебя есть лук и стрела и ты натянешь тетиву лишь слегка, стрела не улетит далеко. Но если как следует натянуть лук, стрела пролетит максимальное расстояние. Благодаря молитве некоторые люди становятся настолько могущественными, что их молитвы начинают действовать, в то время как у других есть только желания, но силы, чтобы осуществить эти желания, им не хватает. Сильный человек без труда поднимет тяжелую ношу. А другому на это не хватает силы. Намерения у них обоих одинаковы, но только один демонстрирует способность осуществить их. Чтобы молитва подействовала, надо молиться, отрешившись от всего, поскольку чем сильнее проявления материального мира (или уровня сознания), тем незначительнее результат. Поэтому сила молитвы - предмет духовного развития человека. Вот почему трансцендентный уровень сознания так важен, вот почему мантра так важна для достижения этого уровня. Мантра - что-то вроде рецепта. Если в рецепте есть нужное слово, вы получите необходимое лекарство. Мы идем по жизни, ведомые нашими органами чувств и нашим эго, стремимся к новому опыту, потому что без опыта мы не обретем знания, а без знаний нет свободы. Но в пути нас опутывает невежество и мрак, и виной тому наше эго и наша связь с материальной энергией. Поэтому, хотя мы и от Бога, мы не похожи на него - из-за грязи, которую собираем в пути, и, чтобы очиститься от нее, необходимо бороться за это. Пчела летит к цветку, чтобы собрать пыльцу, потом пытается найти цветок, более богатый пыльцой. Инстинкт велит пчеле собрать больше нектара, а душе - стремиться к лучшему опыту. Но, набравшись этого опыта - познакомившись со знаменитыми людьми, заработав денег, объездив мир, добившись признания, - по-прежнему думаешь: "И это все?" Кто-то мог бы удовлетвориться этим, а я не смог и до сих пор не могу.Пребывание в "Битлз" не только не ускорило во мне процесс познания Бога, но и затормозило его, поскольку оставляло больше впечатлений и создавало таким образом больше затруднений. Все опыты и мысли записаны на твоем внутреннем файле. Медитация - единственный выход. Ею занимаешься, чтобы избавиться от всего лишнего, и, когда избавляешься от него, становишься тем, кто ты есть на самом деле. В том-то и штука, что мы уже такие, какими хотели бы быть. Все, что нам остается, - пройти обратный процесс.

They blind you with ignorance, as the government does, because if the authority of the church was based on weighty arguments, it would never occur to anyone to doubt its words. And it looks like this: "You do not know anything about Christ and God because only we can know about them." I have learned enough from the writings of Vivekananda and Yogananda to understand how to see God: with the help of the yogic system of passing through states of consciousness (wakefulness, sleep, dreams) to the most refined level of pure consciousness. It is at this level that a person is faced with pure awareness, awakening, the source of all things. We talked about this in the song "Tomorrow Never Knows". This emptiness is transcendental, it is beyond the bounds of wakefulness, sleep, dreams. Everything in the world is the result of this pure state of being, transcendence or God. God is the reason. And the result is all three worlds: causal, astral and physical. I unconditionally believe in the power of prayer, but it is something like love: people say "I love you", and the question is how deep their love is. Maharishi often repeated that if you have a bow and arrow and you pull the string only slightly, the arrow will not fly far. But if you pull the bow properly, the arrow will fly the maximum distance. Thanks to prayer, some people become so powerful that their prayers begin to work, while others have only desires, but they lack the strength to fulfill these desires. A strong man will easily lift a heavy burden. And the other is lacking in strength. The intentions of both of them are the same, but only one demonstrates the ability to implement them. For the prayer to work, one must pray, renouncing everything, because the stronger the manifestations of the material world (or level of consciousness), the less significant the result. Therefore, the power of prayer is the subject of a person’s spiritual development. That is why the transcendental level of consciousness is so important, that is why the mantra is so important for reaching this level. Mantra is a kind of recipe. If the prescription has the right word, you will receive the necessary medicine. We go through life, guided by our senses and our ego, striving for a new experience, because without experience we will not gain knowledge, and without knowledge there is no freedom. But on the way we are enveloped in ignorance and darkness, and our ego and our connection with material energy are to blame for this. Therefore, although we are from God, we are not like him - because of the dirt that we collect along the way, and in order to be cleansed of it, we must fight for it. A bee flies to a flower to collect pollen, then tries to find a flower richer in pollen. Instinct tells the bee to collect more nectar, and the soul - to strive for a better experience. But, having gained this experience - having met famous people, earned money, traveled the world, achieved recognition - you still think: "Is that all?" Someone could be satisfied with this, but I could not and still can not. Staying in the Beatles not only did not accelerate the process of knowing God in me, but also slowed it down, as it left more impressions and created thus more difficulties. All experiences and thoughts are recorded on your internal file. Meditation is the only way out. Doing it to get rid of all that is superfluous, and when you get rid of it, you become who you really are. That's the thing, that we are already what we would like to be. All that remains for us is to go through the reverse process.
