Мои любимые британские кинодядьки Дэнни Бойл и Ричард Кёртис (причём второй изрядно больше, если говорить о тональности и атмосфере) подарили этой стремительно леденеющей осени Yesterday. У нас в прокате он прошёл как маленький и никому не известный фильм, а на деле это самое милое, духоподъёмное, самое смешное и самое британское (obviously!) кино этой осени, к тому же идеальное для уютного семейного просмотра (а когда у Кёртиса было иначе, скажите вы, пересматривающие Love actually каждое Рождество!).
Пересказывать сюжет смысла нет, он, с одной стороны, очарователен своей очевидностью (in a good sense), но в то же время радует несколькими неожиданными душещипательными эпизодами. Завязка проста - музыкант-неудачник из английской провинции оказывается в мире, где никто кроме него не знает о The Beatles. А дальше как в тумане ????
Щекочущий слух до фонетического оргазма British English, тонкая ирония с бесконечным подтруниванием и поистине кёртисовскими диалогами и отдельный бонус из шуток для тех, кто знает тексты песен. А не знать их позволительно только тем юнцам, кто на прошлой неделе впервые видел Матрицу.
Небольшой спойлер, но я думаю, вы все знаете, в какую песню Кёртис не мог не вставить духовые - да, она там будет, и в этот момент становится страшно, а что если в этом мире и Love actually нет? Какая потеря потерь!
Заметка коллегам из индустрии: blackout - это ужасно, вы уж не допустите! Мир без The Beatles (and a few other historical things) станет невыносимо отстойным. Я наверняка окажусь в числе неудачников, оставшихся в неведении, а ведь ничто так не роднит, как общий культурный код, лишиться его - это потерять часть своего я.
И для молодёжи - там Эд Ширан в роли Эда Ширана, когда ещё такое увидишь! Так что берите своих belong to и смотрите Yesterday в обнимку, that is so adorable!

My favorite British film guys Danny Boyle and Richard Curtis (and the second is pretty much more, if we talk about tonality and atmosphere) gave this rapidly chilling fall Yesterday. At our box office, it went like a small and unknown film, but in fact it’s the cutest, the most breathtaking, the funniest and the most British (obviously!) Movie this fall, also ideal for a cozy family viewing (and when Curtis had otherwise, you say, reviewing Love actually every Christmas!).
There is no sense in retelling the plot; on the one hand, it is charming in its obviousness (in a good sense), but at the same time it pleases with several unexpected sentimental episodes. The plot is simple - a loser musician from an English province finds himself in a world where no one except him knows about The Beatles. And then in the fog ????
Tickling rumors to the phonetic orgasm of British English, subtle irony with endless fun and truly Curtis dialogues and a separate bonus from jokes for those who know the lyrics. And not to know them is permissible only to those youths who last week saw the Matrix for the first time.
It’s a small spoiler, but I think you all know which song Curtis could not help but insert winds - yes, it will be there, and at that moment it becomes scary, but what if Love doesn’t actually exist in this world? What a loss of loss!
Note to colleagues in the industry: blackout is terrible, you really won’t! A world without The Beatles (and a few other historical things) will become unbearably sloppy. I will surely find myself among the losers who have remained in ignorance, and after all, nothing is so related as a common cultural code, to lose it is to lose a part of my self.
And for young people - there is Ed Sheeran in the role of Ed Sheeran, when you see this! So take your belong to and watch Yesterday in an embrace, that is so adorable!
