А у нас в пятницу и понедельник были выходные. Забавно, что в стране, где больше 60 процентов по опросам не относят себя ни к какой религии, и Пасха, и вознесение, и рождество - выходные) Традиция))
На 1 апреля один постдок, участник нашей группы по визуальному восприятию, вместе с одним чуваком (собссно, сотрудником Гугла и владельцем) презентовал Гугл-очки. Каждый раз, когда анонсировал это событие, ему приходилось уточнять, что не, не шутка) И правда, демонстрация прошла нормально, даже всем желающим (примерно трети аудитории) дали померить. И я померила. Ну многообещающе, конечно, но пока как первые цветные телефоны по ощущению - скромненько. Я всё жду когда очки будут как в Dennou Coil - создающие полновесную дополненную реальность.
На следующий день ездила в Ейндховен, в Филипс, поделать подготовительные работы для моего эксперимента. В Филипсе довольно уютно, но фотографировать без предварительного разрешения нельзя нигде-нигде.
Когда обратно ехала, в первый раз в местных поездах увидела "электричного музыканта".
Потом у нас два дня была фокус-группа межуниверского проекта - часть студентов приехала пораньше и послушала лекции, поделала штуки. Главной задачей всем вместе было спланировать и выполнить эксперимент на тему освещения. Скажу я вам, делать что-то за два дня неслаженной группой в 10 человек - сомнительной эффективности затея. Но местами было весело. И даже немного полезно, например, типа если знаешь, что в ресторане будет прямое освещение (типа просто лампы, без рассеивателей) - то драгоценности будут смотреться, "играть" хорошо, но и костюм с искуственными нитями тоже "заблестит".
В воскресенье съездили в Ляйден. Основной целью была выставка в одном музее к 100-летию научного отдела Филипса http://www.research.philips.com/research-100/boerhaave-museum/index.html После демонстраций в самом Филипсе я от выставки ожидала большего. Впрочем, любопытно было узнать, что именно в нём была изопретена методика записи CD-дисков.
Сам же музей порадовал. И очень симпатичная постоянная выставка про физику http://www.museumboerhaave.nl/english/about-museum-boerhaave/ , и немного кунсткамеры http://www.museumboerhaave.nl/english/exhibitions/Amazing-Models/ , и забавный отдел сувениров в компании с выставкой старых игр, поддерживаемой сотрудником с классической нёрдовской внешностью)

And even a little useful, for example, if you know that the restaurant will have direct lighting (such as just a lamp, without diffusers), then the jewelry will look and play well, but the costume with artificial threads will also sparkle.
On Sunday we went to Leiden.
