Тем временем в Don't Speak появилось ещё одно образовательное нововведение. Раньше все необходимые раздаточные материалы печатались преподавателем перед занятием и раздавались студентам в процессе. Раздатки часто было неудобно уносить домой, и их часто выкидывали, или теряли, или ещё что-нибудь.
Уставшие от бесконечных распечаток и движимые жаждой систематизации и наведения порядка в учебной части, мы решили собрать все раздатки в одном месте, и назвали это место Student's Book (сокращённо SB) - книга студента. Сейчас мы выдаём beta-версию этих книжек всем новым группам.
Поскольку Student's Book и студент проходят вместе целый уровень (и на следующем уровне мы выдаём следующую SB), то, помимо возможности включать туда раздатки, мы добавили туда ещё несколько интересных штук, а именно:
1) Таблицу, куда студенты заносят имена одногруппников и информацию о них. Опыт показывает, что некоторые путают имена даже через месяц обучения :) Теперь с этим покончено!)
2) Список целей и список успехов студента. Теперь ответы на вопросы "Зачем я пришёл в Don't Speak" и "Чему я научился?", с детализацией до занятия, всегда можно найти прямо в SB и сравнить с целями, поставленными в начале очередного уровня.
3) Правила Don't Speak. Скоро они появятся на плакатах в каждом из филиалов, а пока SB - это единственный способ с ними ознакомиться. Это не какие-то абстрактные законы, а те правила, следование которым увеличивает эффективность обучения как самого студента, так и его группы.
4) Словарь, куда студент сам записывает новые слова с рекомендациями по тому, как лучше эти слова запоминать. В итоге вся выученная лексика всегда под рукой, да ещё и в правильном формате (если, конечно, студент следует рекомендациям словаря)
Так что первый шаг к собственному полноценному учебнику благополучно сделан. Нам, конечно, ещё далеко до Oxford University Press или Longman, но начало положено:)

Meanwhile, Don't Speak has another educational innovation. Previously, all the necessary handouts were printed by the teacher before the lesson and distributed to students in the process. Handouts were often uncomfortable to take home, and they were often thrown away, or lost, or something else.
Tired of endless printouts and driven by a thirst for systematization and restoring order in the educational part, we decided to collect all the handouts in one place, and named this place Student's Book (abbreviated SB) - a student’s book. We are now releasing a beta version of these books to all new groups.
Since Student's Book and student go through a whole level together (and at the next level we give out the next SB), in addition to being able to include handouts there, we added a few more interesting things, namely:
1) A table where students enter the names of classmates and information about them. Experience shows that some confuse names even after a month of training :) Now it's over!)
2) A list of goals and a list of student success. Now the answers to the questions “Why did I come to Don't Speak” and “What did I learn?”, With details before the lesson, can always be found directly in SB and compared with the goals set at the beginning of the next level.
3) Don't Speak Rules. Soon they will appear on posters in each of the branches, but for now SB is the only way to get acquainted with them. These are not some abstract laws, but those rules, the adherence to which increases the effectiveness of training for both the student and his group.
4) A dictionary where the student himself writes new words with recommendations on how best to remember these words. As a result, all the learned vocabulary is always at hand, and even in the correct format (unless, of course, the student follows the recommendations of the dictionary)
So the first step to your own full textbook has been safely taken. Of course, we are still far from Oxford University Press or Longman, but the beginning has been laid :)
