Трагедия в Ницце еще раз напомнила мне, что европоцентризм никуда не девается.
За последние несколько лет мы узнали такие хэштеги, как #JeSuisCharlie, #JeSuisParis, #PrayForNice. Мои слова нисколько не умаляют значимость трагедии в Ницце. Я сочувствую родственникам погибших, пострадавшим и просто жителям города, которым пришлось так или иначе столкнуться с этим ужасным терактом и его последствиями.
Но тем не менее, трагедии происходят в мире повсеместно. Но нет таких хэштегов, как #PrayForAfrica. Хотя многие африканские страны живут в условиях перманентной гражданской войны.
В соседней Турции теракты происходят чуть ли не каждую неделю, но никто особо не "молится за Стамбул", хотя незадолго до трагедии в Ницце, в аэропорту Ататюрка произошел мощнейший взрыв, унесший жизни более 40 человек.
В Европе и остальных частях мира не молились за разбившихся над Синаем русских людей.
Не было и хэштега #PrayForOdessa, когда десятки людей сгорели заживо в Доме профсоюзов.
Я уже молчу о миллионах людей, которые пожинают последствия, осуществленных не без участия Запада, арабских революций.
Был, конечно, хэштег #SaveDonbassPeople. Правда, я сильно сомневаюсь, что у многих европейцев он на слуху.
Такое ощущение, что кровь у европейцев краснее, а боль сильнее, чем у остальных людей по всему миру.

Over the past few years, we have learned such hashtags as #JeSuisCharlie, #JeSuisParis, #PrayForNice. My words do not diminish the significance of the tragedy in Nice. I sympathize with the relatives of the victims, the injured and just the residents of the city, who somehow had to face this terrible terrorist act and its consequences.
But nevertheless, tragedies occur in the world everywhere. But there are no hashtags like #PrayForAfrica. Although many African countries live in permanent civil war.
In neighboring Turkey, the attacks occur almost every week, but no one particularly “prays for Istanbul,” although shortly before the tragedy in Nice, Ataturk airport had a powerful explosion that killed more than 40 people.
In Europe and the rest of the world, they did not pray for the Russian people who had crashed over Sinai.
There was no #PrayForOdessa hashtag when dozens of people were burned alive in the House of Trade Unions.
I am already silent about the millions of people who are reaping the consequences that were realized not without the participation of the West, the Arab revolutions.

It seems that the blood of Europeans is redder, and the pain is stronger than that of other people around the world.
