27 января 1832г. родился Льюис Кэррол (Lewis Caroll) - английский писатель, философ, диакон, автор детских эротических фотографий и профессор математики Оксфордского университета. Самое известное его произведение "Алиса в стране чудес" ('Alice in Wonderland') переведено почти на все языки мира. Только на русский язык это произведение переводили многие известные люди, включая Михаила Чехова, Владимира Набокова и Самуила Маршака. Сегодня "Алису" читают все - от филологов и лингвистов до математиков и исследователей человеческого мозга. И все находят что-то новое и нужное для своей науки.
Я взялась перечитывать эту книгу буквально на днях на английском языке. Вот несколько цитат из книги:
