«В наш хоспис к умирающему пациенту пришел священник, чтобы причастить его. В той же палате находился и другой пациент — уже несколько дней находящийся в коме.
Свершив Таинство Причастия, священник направился было к выходу, но вдруг был остановлен умоляющим взглядом этого внезапно очнувшегося от комы человека. В то время, когда священник причащал умирающего, его сосед по палате внезапно пришел в себя и, не в силах произнести ни слова, стал пристально и умоляюще смотреть на священника, пытаясь таким образом передать ему свою просьбу.
Священник тут же остановился — сердце его отозвалось на этот отчаянный, безмолвный призыв. Он подошел к больному и спросил его — не хочет ли и он исповедаться и причаститься. Больной смог только моргнуть глазами в знак согласия. Священник снова совершил Таинство Причастия и, когда он закончил, на щеках умирающего блестели слезы. Когда священник снова направился к дверям и напоследок обернулся, чтобы попрощаться…. пациент уже спокойно отошел в иной мир.
Трудно объяснить этот случай совпадением – находящийся в длительной коме человек очнулся именно во время совершения священного таинства. Нет, это не совпадение, я не сомневаюсь в том, что душа человека почувствовала присутствие священника и Святых Даров и потянулась к ним навстречу. В последние моменты своей жизни он сумел приобщиться к Богу, чтобы отойти с миром».
