Дошли руки поиграть в Sleeping Dogs двухлетней давности: по сеттингу и ощущениям для меня это просто самая яркая игра со времени эээ релиза Dota 2, наверное. Т.е., я понимаю, что все уже либо с радостью прошли, либо, с радостью же, на неё забили, понимаю, что она забагованая до неприличия, что ноги механики растут из Мафии, которая, очевидно, из GTA, и оригиналы на голову выше. При этом, в случае со мной это то самое стопроцентное попадание в аудиторию, когда первое(!) машинное радио начинает вещание с Emika — Professional Lovers, караоке-пазл ассоциируется только и исключительно с клипом hangover by PSY\Snoop Dogg, и на каждом шагу отсылки к фильмам. Причем, часть игровых условностей круто ложится на сеттинг: персонажи нормально себя чувствуют в футболках под проливным дождем просто потому что в Гонконге температура в принципе кроме января стабильно высокая и влажная, а высотки в сорока метрах от моря это не прихоть level-дизайнеров, а оно там на самом деле так и есть.
Ну и, просто для понимания глубины проблемы: личный топ-7 игр для меня на данный момент выглядит так:

7. Dishonored

We got our hands on playing Sleeping Dogs two years ago: in terms of setting and sensations, for me this is simply the brightest game since the eee release of Dota 2, probably. That is, I understand that everything has already passed either with joy, or, with joy, they beat her, I understand that she is obscene to obscene, that the legs of the mechanics grow from the Mafia, which, obviously, from GTA, and the originals a cut above. At the same time, in the case of me, this is one hundred percent hit in the audience, when the first (!) Machine radio starts broadcasting with Emika - Professional Lovers, the karaoke puzzle is associated exclusively with the hangover by PSY \ Snoop Dogg clip, and at every step references to films. Moreover, part of the game conventions falls steeply on the setting: the characters feel fine in t-shirts in the pouring rain simply because in Hong Kong the temperature, in principle, except January, is consistently high and humid, and skyscrapers forty meters from the sea are not a whim of level designers, but it there really is.
