День на даче Михаила #reunionspbu
Поначалу казалось, что ехать на эту встречу смысла нет – ребят, с кем учились вместе, гарантированно не будет. Но любопытство и желание поучаствовать в первой для меня большой встрече выпускников взяли верх. Встать пришлось с первым автобусом, который отправился из "Автово" в "Михайловскую дачу" в 9 часов, любезно дождавшись вечноопаздывающего выпускника.
Новый кампус СПбГУ встретил свежеотреставрированными корпусами, дополненными архитектурными объектами, назначение которых определить сходу не удалось. До начала общего собрания было время погулять и осмотреться. Знакомых лиц хоть и не прибавилось, но общее приподнятое настроение передавалось и заражало.
Открыл собрание Алексей Кудрин, он поделился соображениями о будущем университета, призвал выпускников непрерывно повышать свой уровень знаний, объединяться для создания бизнеса, активно использовать Ассоциацию выпускников в качестве площадки для новых идей и, что, наверное, главное, – постепенно переходить к модели, при которой попечители, из числа выпускников, будут определять перспективу и судьбу Университета.
Перед началом собрания всем раздали устройства для голосования. Стало ясно – выбор предстоит нешуточный, считать голоса доверено электронике. Техника, к слову, проявила себя в известных традициях сложившейся избирательной системы – голоса суммировались произвольно, 500 не выходило. Поэтому после нескольких безуспешных попыток совладать с машиной, голосовали поднятием рук. В итоге почти единогласно утвердили программу развития Ассоциации на 2016 год и расширенный состав руководства. С формальной частью было покончено – впереди ждали знакомства, общение и интересные дискуссии.
Во время двух полуторачасовых сессий участники из числа известных выпускников разных лет прошлись по социальным сетям ("так дальше жить нельзя – так дальше жить можно") и обсудили специфику научного образования в СПбГУ – "университет должен давать знания, а не компетенции" и "научное открытие – главный мотив и радость ученого". Приятно было видеть на сцене и в зале старших выпускников, (самым старшим был выпуск 1954 года), профессоров и академиков, людей, получающих искреннее удовольствие от занятия научной деятельностью.
Главное, чем запомнилась мне эта встреча (а по сути, целый день) – это количество участников, разнообразие направлений деятельности, которым посвятили себя выпускники нашего Университета. Ну и, конечно, атмосфера. Атмосфера легкого, свободного и дружеского общения, возникшая практически моментально. После таких встреч лучше понимаешь масштабы большого университета и в очередной раз радуешься, что сделал этот выбор.

Day at Mikhail's summer house #reunionspbu
At first, it seemed that there was no point in going to this meeting - the guys with whom they studied together would not be guaranteed. But curiosity and the desire to participate in my first big alumni meeting prevailed. I had to get up with the first bus that went from Avtovo to Mikhailovskaya Dacha at 9 o’clock, kindly waiting for the ever-late graduate.
SPbU met the new campus with freshly restored buildings, complemented by architectural objects, the purpose of which could not be determined immediately. Before the general meeting, it was time to take a walk and look around. Familiar faces, although not increased, but the general elation was transmitted and infected.
The meeting was opened by Alexei Kudrin, he shared his thoughts on the future of the university, urged graduates to continuously improve their level of knowledge, unite to create a business, actively use the Alumni Association as a platform for new ideas and, most likely, most importantly, gradually switch to a model, with which graduate trustees will determine the future and fate of the University.
Before the meeting, everyone was given out voting devices. It became clear that the choice was a serious one, counting the votes was entrusted to electronics. Technique, by the way, showed itself in the well-known traditions of the current electoral system - votes were summed up arbitrarily, 500 did not work out. Therefore, after several unsuccessful attempts to control the car, they voted with a show of hands. As a result, they almost unanimously approved the Association development program for 2016 and an expanded leadership structure. The formal part was over - in front of us were waiting for acquaintances, communication and interesting discussions.
During two hour and a half sessions, participants from among well-known graduates of different years walked on social networks ("you can’t live on like this - you can live on like this)" and discussed the specifics of scientific education at St. Petersburg State University - "the university should provide knowledge, not competencies" and "scientific discovery is the scientist’s main motive and joy. " It was nice to see on the stage and in the hall senior graduates (the oldest was the graduation in 1954), professors and academics, people who sincerely enjoy doing scientific activities.
The main thing that I remembered this meeting (and, in fact, the whole day) is the number of participants, the variety of activities that the graduates of our University have dedicated themselves to. And, of course, the atmosphere. The atmosphere of easy, free and friendly communication that arose almost instantly. After such meetings, you better understand the scale of a large university and once again rejoice that you made this choice.
